From Struggle to Strength
The Story Behind Skills for Tomorrow
After going through drug court and rebuilding my own life, I became a certified recovery coach to help others do the same. In that role, I worked closely with men who were fighting to stay clean, meet court obligations, and build a better future. But time and time again, I saw the same roadblock—employment.
These men wanted to work. They wanted to show up for their families, for themselves, for their recovery. But the system made it nearly impossible. With the constant demands of check-ins, drug testing, and probation requirements, most employers wouldn’t take the chance—or couldn’t offer the flexibility they needed to succeed. Watching so many fall back into old patterns simply because they couldn't find a way forward is what inspired me to take action.
That’s when we created Skills For Tomorrow.
This business is more than a job—it’s a second chance. We offer employment and training that supports individuals navigating recovery and re-entry. We build schedules that work with court-mandated responsibilities, teach real-world skills, and offer a supportive community rooted in understanding and accountability.
The photo you see here—my mugshot beside my wedding photo—tells the full story. It’s not just about what I’ve overcome. It’s about what’s possible. Skills For Tomorrow exists to show that with the right support, people can transform their lives—and write a new chapter, one day at a time.
